Lifestyle Portraits

Portrait photography comes in many shapes and sizes, ranging from individual or couples portrait sessions, to family, children, newborn and even pet photography shoots. Phil takes charge when it comes to portrait sessions, so whichever type of portrait you are after he likes to ensure the shoot is comfortable and natural.

For family, toddler and newborn portrait sessions, it usually works best to meet up at a location that you are familiar with, somewhere you often enjoy spending time. For newborn sessions Phil will visit you at home and bring everything we should need along with him. On newborn shoots Phil tries and capture a mixture of photos of baby on their own, as well as some lifestyle shots of you and your new baby relaxed in your own environment.

Portrait shoots can also be purchased as gifts for family or friends. Get in touch for more details on how to buy a portrait gift voucher.

Prices

Couples, family, children/toddler and newborn shoots with Phil cost £195 for a 2 hour session. Pet portrait shoots cost £120 for a 1 hour session.

How do we book a lifestyle portrait shoot?
Get in touch via our contact form to enquire about Phil's availability.

Send us your full name, address, a contact phone number, we'll then send you an electronic booking quotation document to sign with the details of your booking and how to pay the session fee. Session fees are paid in full at time of booking.

Unfortunately we're unable to hold any session dates until I have received your session fee.
Do you cover my area?
We are based in Wolverhampton in the Midlands, and for portrait shoots cover an area within an approximate 25 mile radius of WV1, which is the majority of the Midlands.
How do we receive our photos?
Your photos will also be uploaded to a private online gallery for you to view, share and download.

A selection of photo gifts and prints are also available direct from your online gallery.

You gallery will also let family and friends download images free of charge.
How long does it take before we receive our photos?
For a engagement session it usually takes around 3-4 weeks before Phil is able to send you all your finished photos.

The time needed often depends on when we book your session. The summer is our busiest period, so Phil's editing schedule tends to be on the heavier side. It means sessions sometimes take slightly longer during that time of year.

We always endeavour to send a sneak peek not too long after the session itself, just as a small preview of whats to come.
How many photos can we expect to receive?
On average you should receive around 30-60 photos from your session. There’s no additional costs or charges to receive your photos, we don't hold clients to ransom by showing you additional photos from your shoot, and then expect you to pay more to receive them all.

Just one session fee for as many great moments captured as possible, all digitally delivered.
Do I need to order our photo products at the time of booking?
We don't like 'hard sales' so we'll leave it up to you if you'd like to take advantage of the photo products I offer. You can order prints, photo products and photo books directly via your online gallery. All products we offer can be ordered at any point before your online gallery expires. Take a look at our photo products page.
What is your 'license of use' and do we own the copyright?
Every shoot comes with an implicit 'licence of use' that lets you print your images, give copies to family and friends, and share online; all for non-profit purposes.

If any of your wedding suppliers get in touch requesting the use of some of your photos for self promotion, send them our way and we're always happy to help them out.

Philip Dignum Photography retains the copyright to all photo, that simply means that your licence does not include permission to sell, modify or enter the photos into any competitions.
